Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need an appointment?
An appointment is required for all fittings or drop offs. Please allow up to 30-45 minutes is to get an accurate fit. We also take this time to address any questions or concerns you may have.
  • Can you alter any type of clothing?
Alterations are for formal, everyday wear and vintage/historical clothing. No heavy duty alterations or sewing such as leather or industrial canvas.
  • How much will my alteration cost?
Basic alterations on everyday wear such as hems have set pricing. Bridal alterations have a starting price and require an in person quote. Formal dresses can be complex, and made of unique materials, so it would be hard to give a fair estimate without knowing what we're working with. No quotes via phone, text or emails.
  • Do you offer custom-made clothes?
We offer custom sewing for specific designs/items such as repurposing, keepsake or replicating historical pieces. We do not offer custom bridal or everyday clothing. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have a project in mind.
  • How long will it take to alter my clothes?
Turnaround time on general alterations is usually up to 2 weeks, but it all depends on the complexity of the garment and the schedule. During wedding season, expected turnaround times may be up to 3 weeks. Bridal alterations are completed in a series of fittings and an estimated pick up date will be given at the initial fitting. I am currently a team of one and very meticulous, so I do not offer same-day or rush services.
